When I think about New York, Coney Island holds a special spot in my imagination. An out of time amusement park, overlooking a sandy strip on the shore of the Hudson River. Oddly as strong as the draw was, I kept on furthering my visit and it is with a lot of anticipation that I finally decided to get there...

At the end of the F line, it is a long ride from Manhattan – or anywhere else in Brooklyn.
As you get of the train, you're taken by an atmosphere that does not ring like New York. From the cuban music playing afar, the flock of tourist, or a generous sun for the early spring – there's an exciting vibe of travel in the air.

Unfortunately the amusement park was still due to winter season; yet a warm sun and a clear sky proved enough reason to venture on the strip.

If you're into people watching, search no more. Everything New York has to offer in terms of eccentric personalities, crazy outfits and odd behaviour is crystallized on that strip.
It's a refreshing melting pot of people enjoying the best their city has to offer, be it for a sunbath, a ball game in the sand or a fishing afternoon.
